bedtime eye massage
Hello Everybody (Said in Groverās voice) š A couple weeks ago I woke up with dry patches on my eyelids and under eye area. So, I researched which oils were best that I actually had on hand. Today the dry patches are almost gone but they definitely feel much better and are not itchy and hurting anymore. I thought someone else might have this problem and want to know what I did. āThere is a crack in everything, thatās how the light gets in.ā ā Leonard Cohen This week, weāre exploring gentle, herbal-infused care for dry eyelids and under-eye areas. Whether your skin feels parched or sensitive this time of year, Iāve got something special to support you. |

š This Weekās Ritual: Bedtime Eye Massage
Try this calming ritual before bed to bring moisture, comfort, and peace to your under-eyes and eyelids.
Youāll need:
1ā2 drops of my DIY Herbal Eye Serum (recipe below)
Your fingertips and a moment of quiet
To do it:
Warm the serum between your ring fingers.
Gently tap around the orbital bone, starting from the outer corners and moving inward beneath the eyes, then up across the brow bone.
DIY Herbal Eye Serum Recipe
1 tsp jojoba oil
½ tsp wheat germ oil
½ tsp castor oil
1 drop chamomile essential oil (optional)
1 drop lavender essential oil (optional)
Store in a roller bottle or dropper. Use at night after cleansing. I much prefer a dropper as your fingers are gentler on the eyes than a hard roller ball. Iāve added in the chamomile and lavender, but you donāt have to use it. I donāt like to use essential oils around my eyes since itās really easy to get oil in your eyes and that just doesnāt feel good.

š¼ Plant of the Week: Chamomile
Chamomile is a gentle powerhouse for dry, sensitive skin. It calms inflammation, soothes redness, and works beautifully in eye serums and infusions.
Try this:
Infuse chamomile in jojoba oil for 1ā2 weeks and strain for a soothing under-eye oil.
Steep chamomile tea, cool the bags, and place over closed eyes for 5 minutes of pure calm.
